How is the american alligator holding up in its battle with the Burmese python in the everglades?

i wouldnt say that the alligators are battling the pythons. there are so many alligators in the everglades it would take much more than a few hundred pythons to do anything significant. the real problem is the pythons are not native to the area and dont have any natural predators. they are competing with the alligators for food and eating animals that only exist in the everglades destroying the eco system.

NL East Predictions? Do you think the Mets will turn around?

While liking The Mets too, it frustrates me to see them playing, struggling like this with the talent they have. Forget just their pitching woos, but their offense is stale. After the miserable finish they had last season, I could sort of "see" the print now on how they went from a slow start to a huge finish( opposite of last season) and create alot of noise. However, I dont think they will win the division and if they do get into post season will be as a WC. I do see either The Phillies or Marlins taking the division, and not Braves or even as a WC. The NL is looking very weak right now, except for a couple of steady teams, and WC will be wide open. Braves to me are over rated, as a team. Nationals as usual will finish last due to the fact they are much too inconsistent and they dont go out and spend and get some quality arms and bats. You really should see a doctor who can prescribe you medication that can significantly help your condition. I had add that was so bad that doctors thought I was bi-polar or schizophrenic and when I got put on adderall, i finally had clarity in my life and slowly (but surely) everything in my life was turning around. It straightens out a bit, but it doesn't completely get straight. It would sometimes curve in some places, like it would curve outward. I have been using tresseme heat tamer and chi silk infusion on my hair before and I use a really good flat iron. I sometimes put the temp on 350, is that too low? Maybe I am doing it too fast?

Do NOT put any food in your stomach until you have not vomited for several hours and then start with saltine crackers. I would say you should go for it!! I personally lived a similar situation. As a "youngster" I thought it would be great to be a writer, but my mother believed that that was the most impractical idea on earth and pushed me to study for a real career. I hit a curb, and in inspecting the damage, the left front wheel faced straight while the right wheel jutted out as if to make a right turn, it just made a constant skid the whole way home, the control arm didn't appear to be bent, however the bushings were severely rotted, when I pulled off the control arm, one bushing split in half. I give it an 8/9. The writing style was great and easy to follow. The only thing is that the snippet storyline didn't seem to follow. Without knowing a little more background of the story it seems that you are portraying an emotional man. Which is fine, but the jump from him swearing and wanting to bash his father's skull in to a little child sobbing in his girlfriends arms is a stretch. Men are not, in my experience, susceptible to these kinds of fantastic mood swings. There is nothing more irritating, to me as a male reader then an author portraying characteristics onto a character that do not follow reality. If he is an angry character, keep him angry in the story. If he is in touch with his sensitive emotions, do not try to make him an angry character. Hope it helps. :)

I mitosis, you start with 23 per cell, they replicate to 46 (23 pairs), and split.. going back to 23 each. In meiosis, much like mitosis, you start with 23, replicate to 46, then split to 23.. expect you keep going without further replication, and split again (4 haploid cells from 1 diploid) but... doesnt that mean each cell ends up with 1/4 of 46, which is 11.5 chromosomes??? arent haploids 23? I dont get it...

Extreme throat discomfort. Help please?

On Thursday Morning I awoke to a slightly sore throat nothing serious, it only hurt slightly when I swallowed and it was only on the left side of my throat. So I thought, oh it's just a little sore it'll go away in about a day. Friday came along and it became more irritable to swallow but that was about it. Saturday I had a slight pain in my throat even when I didn't swallow, and when I did swallow it hurt pretty badly. So I decided whatever I'll just go to the doctor. Whom upon visiting decided that I need Amoxicillin (Never really told me what I had, umed strep throat I think even though he took a sample and put it through this 10 minute test and it came back negative). So I take one pill of Amoxicillin at about 10am. I think I start feeling better and then I can swallow food with only a slight irritation. I take my second pill of the day (two pills a day) and go to sleep. I wake up at 4am with EXTREME discomfort in my throat. I can NOT talk because it hurts my tongue. My lymphnodes are swollen beyond belief and I feel like there's hair on the top of my throat, near that gag-reflex thing? I naturally produce a lot of spit so I swallow a lot, and now I am half choking on all this spit and I have to spit it out constantly otherwise it hurts too much to swallow. No numbing sprays or pain medications take away from these illnesses. My general symptoms are difficulty swallowing, slight trouble breathing (just because the muscles are sore I think), general pain in my tongue, and discomfort when I move my head because of my lymphnodes. Also when I was younger I accidentally ingested a small amount of bleach, and thne immediately puked it up and went to the hospital. This happened when I was about 3, and I have had no throat complications since, just saying. Currently I am 16 and would like to know what's wrong with me. My father took me to the hospital yesterday, so obviously he doens't want to go AGAIN unless I wait a day. So possibly if I get full proof as that my penicillin is not making me feel better and know what it possibly could be he could take me again. Ares Ultra Question - Can't find customer service? (see details below)?

I paid for a subscription to Ares Ultra (which shows as Ares Ultra 4.1.0.0) about a year ago. I log on and everything and am able to search, download, watch, etc. However, I can't find where you ask for customer service or a questions and answers page or the instruction on how to burn a movie, etc. **When I click on the Ares Ultra link, it brings me to a page, which has Ares Ultra info at the top line but then on the rest of the page it shows all kinds of stuff about 'Google Earth 2008 and any links on that part all relate to Google Earth'. ****So Question: Anyone know the 'REAL' Ares Ultra web page??? I am fortunate in that I have three very close friends and a wonderful sister. Originally, I was planning to just have one matron of honor and one maid of honor, but even that idea made me feel weary because I felt as if I didn't give justice to my other close friend and my sister. One of my friends will be the matron of honor and one other friend will definitely be a maid of honor. In total, I am probably going to have a total of 6 bridesmaids. Just a simple question regarding my recently ped dog?

Now, I know this question may seem a little silly to some, but I think some fellow pet owners hopefully understand where I'm coming from. We had to put down my chocolate lab Tex this past Sunday. He got real sick overnight and couldn't walk that morning, and unfortunately we didn't have the finances available to even do testing to find out what was wrong with him. Sadly, I made the decision to put my poor Tex out of his misery. I've been browsing the shelters for the past couple days in hopes of finding a new little buddy. I do believe dogs go to heaven, so I keep thinking my Tex might be upset if he were to somehow know I had found a new dog. Does it seem cold to be ready for a new dog so quickly? My aunt/uncle are jealous of my 3 YO...?

So my aunt and uncle have a 7 and a 10 YO, they were older parents and my husband and I had kids in our ealr 20's who are now 3 (in a weeks) and 7 months. They have some serious jealous issues or something with my daughter esp. She is VERY intelligent (like being tested for giftedness after her Bday in a week kind of smart) and she is VERY well behaved. Like I would be 100% comfortable taking her to the most posh/snooty/expensive restaurant in the world becasue she wil sit quietly use her fork/spoon/ect. Excuse herself the whole nine. (I got VERY lucky). Their kids are beasts. They don't listen, they are whiney. annoying, rude ect. My aunt/uncle both work hard and do quite well for themselves and have a BIG problem with the fact that my husband and I are possibly a bit better off then them and are much younger. We like to vacation often (4 day weekend type things) and we get our kids many nice things (toys/clothing ect). It's such a problem that for her Bday next week we purchased a very large wooden swing set for our daughter ( LIKE VERY large) and my grandmom has asked me to have her party elsewhere becasue she doesn't want my aunt/uncle to see the swing set. Becasue she doesn't want to hear what they have to say about how we're so young how do we afford things like that ect. Their kids have one too, not as big; but perfectly fine. Their kids have every video game sys and all the american girl doll stuff nothing cheap. But still they think we "spoil" our daughter. Is she spoiled probably, but she is also generous and polite, and appreciative. Whenever a bday/christmas comes we go through her room and go through her toys ect and pick out a small bag full of things to donate before she gets anything new. She doesn't get new things without giving some of the old very good condition things away. Yes she gets expensive clothing but she grows VERY slowly and is a neat/clean freak so I don't have to worry about her suddenly outgrowing/staining ect. I don't understand why I need to be made to feel uncomfortable because I like to get my kids nice/expensive things. Does she sound too spoiled to you?

The point of faith is that it can't be proven. If it could be proven then it would be fact and no longer faith. That's the beauty of it. It is much harder to keep faith in what you know is right but cannot prove than to lean on the tired old crutch of intellect and fact, so therefore it is much more satisfying. Those who are too afraid of the unknown to let go of their intellect and facts are to be pitied because they will never know what we experience, they'll never understand what faith truly is. Issue with attending college and working at the same time?

Right now, I have a job at UPS that works in the evenings from about 5-9. The pay isn't that great and the hours are short, but the benefits are really top notch. I have been pondering attending my local community college recently to get a degree in Architectual CAD A.A.S. This is something I want to do so I can get a good job in the future. My dilemma is, that the actual courses in CAD take place in the evenings when I work and I cannot schedule for missing a day of work every week. Right now I can take a few courses in general education like math and others and still keep my job. But when I need to start my CAD cles is when I might need to find new employment. My question is, should I give up my job at UPS to attend college? I really want a degree, and to get a good paying job. I'm basically giving up good benefits to earn myself a better future, which doesn't seem like a big decision. But I am really nervous about all the changes that will happen.

Cheating.. questions for ladies?

Hi, so my fiance and i got together when I was about 2 months pregnant well not even with my ex bf's baby, I didn't stay with him because he was a very very bad person and I didn't want him to be a part of our child's life, and then I met my fiance who I have been with for 3 years, and he was with a girl about 9 1/2 years ago and they have a 9 year old daughter together, but when she was 7 months pregnant she said he d her (which he didn't) and then he said he would have her charged with slander for lying, and then all of a sudden her and her family packed up with out telling him and moved like very far away. He never got to meet his daughter or ever talk to her just seen pictures and never talked to the girl he was with again. His mom sends his daughter gifts for her birthday and special occasions and stuff like that, and so do we ( me and him). But so about 9 months ago we were doing fine, had our own home on the go, him and my daughter love each other very much even though he's not biologically his he excepts her as she was, and then all of a sudden this '' girl'' he had the baby with moved back here after like 9 1/2 years, and of course she's like model pretty and I'm average .. so of course here i think he's going to cheat on me with his old fame!, but so anyways a month after she was here i found out i was pregnant, so we were happy, but i just can't get her out of the way, he say's he hates her for saying that stuff and leaving him and taking the unborn baby with her, but it's hard to believe that, so anyways i told his sister about this and she agreed with me, she thought she was a ***** too, and she was best friends with the girl's sister, so it was hard for her because she lost her best friend too. but about 6 months well 7 months after the girl was here her sister's boyfriend beat her and she needed a place to stay so she moved in with my bf's sister and mother and now his sister is best friends with the girl he has a kid with and her old best friend too. This is really hard on me because now his sister doesn't even talk to me, she just bothers with the other girls now, and is very stuck up now, why is she doing this to me, i just want to be a part of their family and now they are leaving me out for a girl who said that there brother d them when he didn't... I feel so alone, and i accuse my bf everyday pretty much of cheating on me with this girl because ever since her sisters been here he's known a little too much about this girl he use to be with, and she's honestly been sleeping with every one in town, and she has kids, this isn't right, what do i do, do you think he would cheat on me with her and not tell me, or what?
