Born-Haber Cycle for CU + I2?

Im not an expert but this will at least start you off. A is the first ionisation energy and B is the second ionisation energy. this can be writen as delta (triangle) H and in subscript 1st I.E (or 2nd I.E) C is the the Electron Afinity which is deltaH E.A. If you were asked to just contruct the thermodynamic cycle this is it, however if you were asked to calculate the lattice energy U You need the formula enthalpy formation = enthalpy sublimation + 1/2 dissociation + 1st/2nd etc. ionisation energy + electron affinity + U and you need to solve for U as U is the lattice energy. You may need to ign signs (+/-) to the values you were given (if any). If your U value is negative it means the molecule can occur naturally as a solid if its a positive value, it cannot. Hope this helps.
