Frustrated and annoyed with peers?

I have always been there for my friends when they needed a ride or money. Now that I'm jobless and have no car, none of them have made an effort to come see me. They'll tell me to take the bus or a taxi, but they SOOO wanna hang out with me. How depressing! How do I deal with this type of betrayal? Also, what's a smart thing to say when they want me to hang out? Honestly, if they don't want to make the effort to see me, why should I spend a dime on taking the bus for them? I just wanna punch the wall right now!
